Nicki Minaj and Donald Trump attended a summit hand-in-hand with the rapper declaring she’s his ‘number one fan’ and managed to bag a $1 million Gold Card ‘free of charge’.
On January 28, the Trump Accounts Summit took place and who should arrive to show their support for the US President but his apparent ‘number one fan’ Nicki Minaj.
Trump and Minaj appeared on stage together with the president not just ‘Right By [Her] Side,’ but holding her hand and the situation only got even more bizarre.

Launching into a defense of one another, the president spoke out on Minaj having received ‘heat’ over her avid supporting him.
Clearly not backing down, taking ‘Super Freaky Girl’ to a whole new level, Minaj declared she’s not just supportive of Trump, but believes she’s ‘probably the president’s number one fan’.
She continued: « The hate — or what people have to say — it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more. And it’s going to motivate all of us to support him more. »
Well, a certain little Gold Card added into the mix is certainly quite the enticer. But what is a Trump Gold Card and how will it impact Minaj?What is Trump’s Gold Card and what does it mean for Minaj?
Minaj took to Twitter shortly after the event to show off a Trump Gold Card alongside the caption, ‘Welp’.
A Trump Gold Card is ‘a visa based upon an individual’s ability to provide a substantial benefit to the United States,’ according to the official website.
The card also allegedly gives a fast-track to US citizenship, Forbes reports.
It follows Minaj speaking out on TikTok in 2024 saying she wasn’t ‘a citizen of America’ after arriving in the US from Trinidad and Tobago when she was a little girl, as quoted by IHeart.
Minaj later added: « Residency? Residency? The cope is coping. Finalizing that citizenship paperwork as we speak as per MY wonderful, gracious, charming President. Thanks to the petition. I wouldn’t have done it without you. Oh CitizenNIKA you are thee moment. Gold Trump card free of charge. »
And who should retweet the post but the White House, adding: « Oh she’s super BASED. »
Applicant’s typically have to pay a processing fee of $15,000 DHS and then ‘a $1 million gift upon completion of the individual’s vetting is evidence that the individual will substantially benefit the United States’. However, Minaj claims she got one for free.
Clearly being Trump’s ‘number one fan’ pays off… or maybe it was Trump taking a liking to her nails which helped too eh?Up on stage, Trump complimented Minaj’s nails, saying: « I said, I am going to let my nails grow, because I love these nails. »
Oh and the pair then went and filmed a TikTok video together. What in the Black Mirror is going on?!
Minaj didn’t stop there either, even going so far to shoot a warning to Trump’s opponents.
Reminding them of the ‘force behind’ Trump, she said: « [You won’t] get away with bullying him and you know, the smear campaigns. It’s not going to work. »

Nicki Minaj has been a lot of people’s favorite music artist for well over a decade, certainly putting her mark on the 2010s music scene.
But in recent weeks, she has appeared to frustrate a whole lot of her fans for seemingly shifting her stance when it comes to politics.
The 43-year-old rapper has thrown her support behind a whole host of conservative figures in recent weeks, appearing at a Turning Point USA event and praising both Donald Trump and JD Vance.
This appeared to alienate many of her fans who have been keeping up with the star long enough to remember her outspoken views against Trump in the past.
Minaj would eventually go on to deactivate or delete her Instagram account, much to the surprise of her followers.
Despite this, the backlash continued with petitions even stirring up, calling for the star to be deported to Trinidad and Tobago, where she was born.
This comes after Minaj had previously admitted that she came into the country illegally at the age of five. As well as this, she has previously said in a TikTok live that she never officially became a US citizen.
The petitions are unlikely to hold any merit or see any action against the star because she does hold a green card; which are issued to non-US citizens and allow them to live and work in the country, giving them permanent residency in the US.
While Minaj doesn’t post too often on X following her departure from Instagram, she had a fiery post for former CNN journalist Don Lemon.
Her post read: “DON ‘C**K SUCKIN’ LEMON IS DISGUSTING. HOW DARE YOU?
« I WANT THAT THUG IN JAIL!!!!! HE WOULD NEVER DO THAT TO ANY OTHER RELIGION. LOCK HIM UP!!!!!”
This appeared to be in response to Lemon’s recent interview of a pastor from Minneapolis as part of his YouTube show.This saw him interview pastor Jonathan Parnell as anti-ICE protestors stormed the building chanting. The demonstrators entered the church to protest against David Easterwood, a church leader they allegedly identified as the Acting Field Office Director for ICE in St. Paul.
This move by the protestors has resulted in heavy criticism on social media, and Lemon got caught in the crossfire.
Don Lemon has seemingly responded to some of the backlash he has received and defended his actions. He insisted that he has ‘no affiliations’ with the protestors and called his behavior an act of journalism
He has said: “The MAGA administration and the fake news MAGAs are losing their mind over something that’s not even true.”
Attorney General Pamela Bondi today took to X to say the Justice Department is investigating the incident to see if there were any potential FACE Act violations, however.
In a post Bondi added: “I just spoke to the Pastor in Minnesota whose church was targeted. Attacks against law enforcement and the intimidation of Christians are being met with the full force of federal law.
“If state leaders refuse to act responsibly to prevent lawlessness, this Department of Justice will remain mobilized to prosecute federal crimes and ensure that the rule of law prevails.”

The ‘Super Bass’ hitmaker is scheduled to take to the stage and join forces with US ambassador to the United Nations, Mike Waltz, in New York today (Tuesday, November 18), as allegedly arranged by Alex Bruesewitz, an advisor to President Donald Trump.
The move also comes as the POTUS claimed Nigeria is ‘allowing the killing of Christians’ in the secular country, which is closely split between Muslims (53 percent) and Christians (45 percent).
Under intense pressure from conservative Christian groups urging him to consider the west African nation a ‘country of particular concern’ over alleged religious persecution, Trump claimed Islamist extremist groups were behind the targeted persecution of Christians in ‘very large numbers’.He also promised to send US troops ‘guns-a-blazing’, warning: « It will be fast, vicious and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our cherished Christians. »

I do not take it for granted. It means more than you know. »
Referring to her fanbase, known as the ‘Barbz,’ she continued: « The Barbz and I will never stand down in the face of injustice. We’ve been given our influence by God. There must be a bigger purpose. »
Her collaboration with the White House comes after the hitmaker publicly supported Trump’s Truth Social post about the matter just days earlier.
“Reading this made me feel a deep sense of gratitude. We live in a country where we can freely worship God … Thank you to the president and his team for taking this seriously. God bless every persecuted Christian, » she wrote on X.
Yet some fans aren’t exactly rejoicing at her involvement in politics, dubbing the move as ‘PR cosplay’ and accusing her of cosying up to the Republican.
« ‘I will never stand in the face of injustice’ while siding with Trump is crazy, » echoed another. « Pack it up. Take your hypocrisy elsewhere. »
A third added: « The ‘Barbz vs injustice’ act is getting tired, power doesn’t equal purpose, and fan armies aren’t a moral compass. »
A fourth weighed in: « The ‘Christian genocide’ narrative is the ultimate political utility.
« It simultaneously fuels the celebrity clout economy for Nicki Minaj and serves as the Evangelical loyalty test and Trump allegiance signal for Republican senators. Nigeria and the victims? Irrelevant! »
Nicki Minaj has been facing a significant backlash on social media in recent weeks and may now have deleted her whole Instagram account.
Minaj was recently a surprise guest at the Turning Point USA event, in Phoenix, Arizona on December 21 and shared the stage with Erika Kirk.
Minaj faced a swift backlash after she appeared to misspeak while arguing that there were many conservative role models for young men to look up to.
Minaj included JD Vance in role models for men, going on to use the term ‘assassin’ in a positive light.
In most settings this would be perfectly fine, however it comes as an awkward moment as Erika Kirk’s husband Charlie Kirk was assassinated while answering questions at a Turning Point event back in September.
Minaj said: “Dear young men, you have amazing role models, like our handsome dashing president. And you have amazing role models like the assassin, JD Vance, our vice president – and when I say that…”
She then held her hand to her mouth in silence, realizing the blunder, however Erika Kirk offered her words of support and said sometimes you just have to laugh in these moments.
Kirk said: « I love this woman, she is an amazing woman. She has a soul and a heart for the Lord, and words are words, but I know her heart and it doesn’t even matter – and you say what you want to say because I know your heart – and I do not judge that. »
Twitter users called the gaffe ‘an absolutely massive f**kup’ and ‘absurdity at its finest’.
Others criticized Minaj for her endorsement of Trump and Vance, with one user writing: « Nicki Minaj calling Trump and JD Vance ‘down to earth’ and ‘one of us’ tells me everything I need to know about how far celebrity wealth can detach someone from reality. »
Following on from this, the star now may have deleted her account entirely, though there isn’t anything to definitively link the move with her comments to Kirk.Some fans have pointed out that Minaj would regularly deactivate her account, with her taking it down in October.
But it appears she may have reactivated it ahead of the event only to go a step further and delete it.
However some have argued regardless of deleting her page, the rapper will be perfectly fine.
One fan wrote: “Yesterday, She had more streams than cardi and Megan combined. I think she’ll be ok losing some lefty fans.”
With another simply writing: “She don’t care! She rich …”
Multiple petitions have arisen calling for Nicki Minaj to be deported from the US following a furious backlash from her fans.

One Change.org petition has so far been signed by more than 46,000 people, while another has more than 87,000 signatures, both calling for her deportation to Trinidad and Tobago, where she was born.
This comes after Minaj had previously admitted that she came into the country illegally at the age of five.In a 2018 post criticizing Trump over his immigration stance, she wrote on Instagram: “I came to this country as an illegal immigrant.
“I can’t imagine the horror of being in a strange place & having my parents stripped away from me at the age of five.”
In 2024 during a TikTok live, she said she never officially became a US citizen.
Minaj explained: « You would think that with the millions of dollars that I’ve paid in taxes to this country that I would have been given an honorary citizenship many, many, many thousands of years ago. »
So, the big question is, do any of these petitions have any weight behind them?Well, no, not really.
Despite Minaj’s comments that she came into the country illegally as a child and is not a US citizen, she does hold a green card.
These are issued to non-US citizens and allow them to live and work in the country, giving them permanent residency in the US.
Therefore, despite people’s frustrations with her recent support of conservative figures, she cannot be deported.
The ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) charity has previously commented on the legality of deporting an individual for voicing an opinion.
The charity has said: “Criticizing U.S. foreign policy, or voicing any other opinion, is protected by the First Amendment – no matter your immigration status. »
So it is unlikely that the petitions will lead to any actual action.
