Pam Bondi admits there have been mistakes made with handling of Epstein files

Attorney General Pam Bondi has admitted that mistakes were made in the handling of the release of the Epstein files, including redaction errors, according to a letter.

After three and a half million documents related to the case were released by the Department of Justice (DOJ) for public viewing, containing much redacted information such as names, contact information and faces, 7,000 have been flagged for further review.

Bondi’s letter to federal judges expressed concerns from victims who have allegedly had their information included in the files.

Due to this, the Justice Department ‘has temporarily removed thousands of documents from the DOJ Epstein Library for further review — including approximately 9,500 documents subject to the Protective Orders in the Maxwell case,’ she wrote.

« Based on a sampling of documents for purposes of preparing this letter, there are instances where redactions appear to have been inadvertently missed despite what is clearly a robust effort by the reviewer, » the DOJ wrote in a letter to federal judges.Bondi blamed human errors, technical errors, and DOJ staff’s inability to properly search text as causes for the issues.

She went on to say they have found ‘new victims and new identifiers (such as nicknames, email addresses, and family names’ in the published documents.

Democratic Representative Ro Khanna of California and GOP Representative Thomas Massie of Kentucky, both of whom campaigned for the release of the files, have requested that they examine the unredacted files.

“The DOJ has protected the Epstein class with blanket redactions in some areas while failing to protect the identities of survivors in other areas,” Khanna said to CNN. “Congress cannot properly assess DOJ’s handling of the Epstein and Maxwell cases without access to the complete record.”

Congress had passed a law in November which required the Justice Department to release its unclassified records within 30 days, and to also redact the victims’ information. In the end, the DOJ missed the original 30-day deadline by six weeks, and some information about victims was left exposed.

Bondi’s letter outlined the steps the DOJ had taken to keep victims safe.

“The Department has made, and continues to make, substantial progress in identifying, reviewing, and redacting potential victim-identifying information both independently and in coordination with victims and their counsel,” she wrote.

Donald Trump has doubled down he ‘wasn’t friendly’ with Jeffrey Epstein following Trevor Noah’s Grammys joke alongside the latest release of Epstein files.

Proving it’s not just the Golden Globes and Oscars which can get a bit risqué with the jokes, Trevor Noah took to the stage at the 2026 Grammy Awards and took a shot at none other than US President Donald Trump.

While the POTUS’ ear may’ve not ended up bloody this time, it did end up scorned, so much so, Trump has since threatened to sue the comedian over his comment.

Taking to the stage on February 1 to announce Song of the Year, Noah not only referenced Trump’s continuous demands to take over Greenland, but also his former relationship with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.Noah said: « Song of the Year — that is a Grammy that every artist wants almost as much as Trump wants Greenland, which makes sense because Epstein’s island is gone, he needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton. »

Despite knowing Epstein, Clinton has denied any knowledge of the paedophile’s criminal activities and Trump has felt the need to speak out clarifying the extent of his relationship with Epstein yet again too.

Wasting little time after Noah’s joke, Trump took to Truth Social to slam the Grammy Awards as ‘the WORST’ and ‘virtually unwatchable’,’ condemning Noah as ‘almost as bad as Jimmy Kimmel at the Low Ratings Academy Awards’.

The POTUS stressed Noah said ‘INCORRECTLY’ that he and Clinton ‘spent time on Epstein island’ but that the comedian is ‘WRONG’.

Adding while he ‘can’t speak for Bill,’ Trump alleged he’s ‘never been to Epstein island, nor anywhere close’, slamming Noah’s joke as a ‘false and defamatory statement’ before threatening the ‘total loser’ with the prospect of ‘suing him for plenty$’ – adding in he’s ‘poor, pathetic’ and ‘talentless’ for good measure.

LADbible Group previously contacted Noah’s representatives for comment.

And in a post shared February 2, Trump added: « Not only wasn’t I friendly with Jeffrey Epstein but, based upon information that has just been released by the Department of Justice, Epstein and a SLEAZEBAG lying ‘author’ named Michael Wolff, conspired in order to damage me and/or my Presidency. »The post continued: « So much for the Radical Left’s hope against hope, some of whom I’ll be suing. Additionally, unlike so many people that like to ‘talk’ trash, I never went to the infested Epstein island but, almost all of these Crooked Democrats, and their Donors, did. »

Michael Wolff is a journalist who has written multiple books about Trump’s presidency, with his 2018 release sparking backlash from the White House.

On an episode of his podcast, Wolff also claimed he ‘probably [has] 100 hours of Epstein talking about the inner workings of the Trump White House and about his long-standing, deep relationship with Donald Trump’.

Trump’s outburst follows another release of the infamous Epstein files by the US Department of Justice (DOJ).

Millions of pages, images and videos were publicly released, including emails between Epstein and high-profile figures. It’s important to note that being named or photographed in the files does not indicate any wrongdoing.

Several unverified tips sent to the FBI in August 2025 are reported as revealing some serious allegations against the POTUS.One complaint alleges a ‘redacted’ name ‘reported an unidentified female friend’ being ‘forced to perform oral sex on President Trump 35 years ago in New [Jersey]’ – the friend ‘approximately 13-14 years old’ at the time of the alleged incident.

The DOJ and the White House said in a statement that a few of documents ‘contain untrue and sensationalist claims against President Trump that were submitted to the FBI right before the 2020 election’.

The statement added: « To be clear, the claims are unfounded and false, and if they have a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponized against President Trump already. »

Timothée Chalamet is mentioned in the newly released Epstein files for an unusual reason, with it being claimed he was ‘made to give away his money’.

Chalamet has starred in several hit movies over the course of his career and in 2020, his film A Rainy Day In New York hit theaters in the US.

The rom-com was directed by Woody Allen, who has long faced allegations by his adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, of sexual abuse dating back to the 1990s – which he has denied.

The movie faced a two-year delay due to people tied to the film denouncing Allen because of the allegations, Griffin Newman being the first to do so.

Then in January 2018, Chalamet announced that he was donating his entire salary from the movie to the charities Time’s Up, the LGBT Centre in New York, and Rainn [the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network].The matter was mentioned by publicist Peggy Seigel in an email to Jeffrey Epstein around the time Chalamet made the announcement.

The email, which was part of the 3,000,000 new documents released last week on the disgraced financier, read that Chalamet was ‘made to give away his money’.

What the email read
Siegel penned to Epstein: « I am sick about Woody. This ‘#Me Too’ witch hunt is out to destroy an 80 year old global cinematic treasure and it makes me so sad.

« I saw literary agent Lynn Nesbit at Billy Rayner’s funeral and she said Woody is guilty. Of course she is the agent for Ronan and Dylan.

« Even my friend Timothy Chalemet [sic], who donated his salary from Woody’s last film to THREE political agencies was sick about being forced into any action by the press.

« He could not go anyplace on his ‘Call Me By Your Name’ Oscar campaign with out the press hounding him about working with Woody. His agents made him give his money away, supposedly not as a sign of Woody’s guilt, but support of hysterical woman and media. »Seigel went on to say of her ‘friend’ Chalamet what he was upset about everything and described him as a ‘pawn in a bigger game’.

She also speculated that the actor would win an Oscar for Beautiful Boy, which he didn’t even get a nomination for.

What Chalamet said at the time
Speaking when he made the donation, Chalamet said in a public statement: « I am learning that a good role isn’t the only criteria for accepting a job – that has become much clearer to me in the past few months, having witnessed the birth of a powerful movement intent on ending injustice, inequality and above all, silence. »He went on: « I have been asked in a few recent interviews about my decision to work on a film with Woody Allen last summer. I’m not able to answer the question directly because of contractual obligations.

« But what I can say is this: I don’t want to profit from my work on the film, and to that end, I am going to donate my entire salary to three charities: Time’s Up, the LGBT Centre in New York, and Rainn [the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network].

« I want to be worthy of standing shoulder to shoulder with the brave artists who are fighting for all the people to be treated with the respect and dignity they deserve. »

President Donald Trump has spoken out after the latest batch of recently released Epstein files accused him of sexual abuse.

On Friday (January 30), the Department of Justice (DOJ) unveiled 3.5 million documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, in accordance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which was passed last year.

Some of the documents included allegations against numerous figures, some of whom have responded, like Elon Musk and Bill Gates, who called the claims against him ‘absolutely absurd’ and ‘completely false’. Being included in the files doesn’t indicate any wrongdoing.

Trump was mentioned in the files more than 3,000 times, and he has continuously denied any knowledge of Epstein’s crimes, nor has he been accused of anything relating to the disgraced financier.

Some very serious allegations were made against the President through several unverified tips sent to the FBI in August last year. The complaint alleged: « [Redacted] reported an unidentified female friend who was forced to perform oral sex on President Trump 35 years ago in New [Jersey]’.

It further claimed that the unidentified individual was ‘approximately 13-14 years old when this occurred’, alleging that the then-teenager ‘bit’ him during the supposed encounter. They went on to say that she was also ‘allegedly hit in the face after she laughed about biting President Trump’.

Both the White House and the DOJ said in a statement that a few of documents ‘contain untrue and sensationalist claims against President Trump that were submitted to the FBI right before the 2020 election’, adding: “To be clear, the claims are unfounded and false, and if they have a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponized against President Trump already.”

After the document temporarily went missing from the files, the DOJ told The Telegraph that it wasn’t accessible ‘due to overload and is back online’.

On Saturday (January 31), Trump spoke to reporters on Saturday (January 31) as he prepared to fly to his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida, where he claimed the document’s release ‘absolved’ him.He said: « I didn’t see it myself but I was told by some very important people that not only does it absolve me, it’s the opposite of what people were hoping, you know, the radical left. »

While the DOJ has confirmed Friday’s dump of files was the last in a letter to Congress, some Democrats believe there are still documents to be made available to the public.

« Donald Trump and his Department of Justice have now made it clear that they intend to withhold roughly 50% of the Epstein files, while claiming to have fully complied with the law. This is outrageous and incredibly concerning, » Congressman Robert Garcia said.

« The oversight committee subpoena directs Pam Bondi to release all the files to the committee, while protecting survivors.

« We are demanding the names of Epstein’s co-conspirators and the men and pedophiles who abused women and girls. We will begin a thorough review of this latest limited production, but let’s be clear: our work and investigation are just getting started. »
Prince William responds to concerning allegations made against Andrew in Epstein files
The King’s son issued a statement along with his wife, Kate

Prince William has spoken out after his uncle, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, was featured in the most recent barrage of files released by the US Department of Justice about convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The King’s son issued a statement along with his wife, Kate, to say they are ‘deeply concerned’ by the ongoing revelations from the files in relation to William’s uncle, the former Prince Andrew.

The statement comes as Prince William is set to travel to Saudi Arabia for the start of a three-day tour of the Middle East country, and after the Justice Department released an additional three million pages of documents about Epstein on January 30.

Claims featured in the files include an allegation that Epstein sent a woman to the UK to have a sexual encounter with Andrew.Another accusation alleges that Andrew and Epstein requested an exotic dancer take place in a threesome in Epstein’s home in Florida, while a third claims Andrew shared confidential reports about official visits to Hong Kong, Vietnam, and Singapore during his time as the UK’s trade envoy in 2010 and 2011.

Andrew has denied any wrongdoing, though his links to the convicted offender have resulted in him being stripped of his titles and moving out of his Royal Lodge. In 2019, the former prince told BBC Newsnight in 2019 that he hadn’t seen Epstein since early December 2010, at which time he told the financier that he was ending their friendship.

In the wake of the most recent release of files, a spokesperson for William and Kate at Kensington Palace said: “I can confirm that the Prince and Princess of Wales have been deeply concerned by the continued revelations.

“Their thoughts remain focused on the victims.”Another member of the royal family to have commented on the Epstein files is Prince Edward, who said it is ‘really important always to remember the victims, and who are the victims in all this, a lot of victim s in all this’.

Other names featured in the three million newly released pages include Elon Musk, Bill Gates and US President Donald Trump. The files are made up of photos, videos, emails and news clippings, as well as court records, and FBI and Department of Justice documents.

However, it is important to note that being featured in the Epstein files does not indicate any wrongdoing.

After moving out of the Royal Lodge, Andrew is now living at Wood Farm on the Sandringham Estate while awaiting a move to his permanent home, which is currently undergoing renovations.
