Finneas has clapped back at those who he considers to be ‘very powerful old white men’ in a social media post defending his sister, Billie Eilish.
The songwriter was proudly standing next to Eilish at the 2026 Grammys as she accepted the Song of the Year award for ‘Wildflower’.
Finneas, 28, co-wrote and produced the track from the 24-year-old star’s hit album, Hit Me Hard and Soft.

While onstage, he watched on as she dedicated her speech to inequality in light of the Trump administration’s ICE takeover of several cities in the US, resulting in the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti.
Eilish declared: « No one is illegal on stolen land. And yeah, it’s just really hard to know what to say and what to do right now.
« I feel really hopeful in this room and I feel like we just need to keep fighting and speaking up and protesting and our voices really do matter and the people matter and erm, f**k ICE. »
In retaliation, some critics appear to have called out the singer’s ‘stolen land’ claims, which Finneas took issue with.
In light of the release of the Epstein files, which has seen millions of documents showing the names of many men in high places contained within, the songwriter hit back at the haters.
« Seeing a lot of very powerful old white men outraged about what my 24-year-old sister said during her acceptance speech, » Finneas wrote on Threads. « We can literally see your names in the Epstein files. »
While a lot of people were debating Eilish’s comments, others took aim at reports that her Los Angeles mansion is said to sit on land that used to belong to the Tongva tribe.
« Oh, gee, this ‘stolen land’ nonsense again? Maybe she should step up and forfeit her Southern California mansion since it is supposedly on ‘stolen land’, » Florida Governor Ron DeSantis posted on X.
Meanwhile, Senator Mike Lee wrote: « Any white person who does a public ‘stolen land’ acknowledgement should immediately give his or her land to native Americans. Otherwise they don’t mean it. Also, I’m pretty sure they don’t mean it. »
Lee voted against pressuring the government to release the files, however, it hasn’t been reported that either politician is named in the documents.
Finneas didn’t include names in his response, and it’s worth noting that being mentioned in the files does not suggest they were part of the criminal activities.
A representative for the Tongva tribe previously told MailOnline: « As the First People of the greater Los Angeles basin, we do understand that her home is situated in our ancestral land.
« Eilish has not contacted our tribe directly regarding her property, we do value the instance when Public Figures provide visibility to the true history of this country. »
They continued: « It is our hope that in future discussions, the tribe can explicitly be referenced to ensure the public understands that the greater Los Angeles basin remains Gabrieleno Tongva territory. »
The spokesperson went on to say that they ‘partnered closely with the Recording Academy to author the official Land Acknowledgment statement shared during Grammy week and at the Premiere Ceremony’.
They concluded by saying: « The Recording Academy has been an incredible partner to our tribe, and we look forward to continuing the relationship to ensure the voices of the First People of this land are heard and honoured. Ekwa Shem – We are here! »
A friend of Billie Eilish accidentally revealed a super-intimate tattoo that the singer swore the world would never see.
The ‘Bad Guy’ singer has five known tattoos – though she’s hinted that there are a few more we haven’t seen.
« The only tattoos I wanna get are the ones that barely anyone can see, » she told Vanity Fair, in 2017.
When she turned 18, she went and got her first tattoo the day after sweeping up at the Grammy’s in 2020 – winning a total of five: Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist, and Best Pop Vocal Album.
She made history by sweeping the four main categories, becoming the first female artist to do so – and the second person overall to do so, and of course visiting the tattoo parlour was her way of celebrating.
“I did get a tattoo, but you won’t ever see it,” she told the publication at the time.
Since then, the star’s tattoo collection has grown.
In 2021, she revealed she’d added two more pieces – including fairies on the side of her hand inspired by her childhood book Fairyopolis.
« They’re like my little guardian angel fairies, » she explained.
She also got what she called a ‘big boy’ tattoo – a dragon stretched across her waist, which she eventually showed off on Instagram.
But it’s that very first tattoo – the one she promised to keep hidden – that has captured fans’ curiosity for years.
They managed to get a glimpse of the artwork thanks to a snap shared by Eilish’s friend Annabel Zimmer, the daughter of film composer Hans Zimmer.
Annabel posted the picture as she enjoyed some nice weather with Eilish, who was seen in the photo smiling and tilting her head towards the sun.
She had sunglasses on and her hair pulled back, with the tattoo just visible below the string of her bikini.
You can kind of see it here:
While there are certainly clearer photos on the internet, fans of the singer accepted this was the best they were going to get.
Rolling Stone has also previously reported that the tattoo is drawn in an ‘ornate, gothic font’.
It’s just about possible to make out the pointed letters of her name written in black across her skin.
In October 2023, she debuted her latest ink, which is an abstract design that goes down the center of her back.

A comment Billie Eilish made about her heritage has divided the internet, with some claiming the pop star should ‘immediately’ apologize to fans.
The 23-year-old singer recently wrapped the UK and European leg of her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour, concluding the run with a two-night residency at Dublin’s 3Arena.
Amid Saturday’s (July 26) show in Ireland, Eilish remarked how seeing a room full of people who looked ‘exactly like [her]’ was ‘amazing’.
“As you guys know I’m Irish. Obviously, I am not from here but it’s really cool to come somewhere and everyone looks exactly like you,” she said (as per NME). “You’re all just as pasty as me, I love it.”
She added that seeing similarities in the crowd’s features was ‘so amazing’ and that it made her ‘feel so seen’.
“Also, a thousand of my relatives are in the crowd right now, I’m pretty sure. I love it here – it’s so beautiful and you are all so beautiful and I see so many familiar faces out there.”
Eilish’s so-called ‘crazy’ comment has sparked some criticism, however, with some claiming the ‘What Was I Made For?’ singer should issue an apologetic note to fans as soon as possible.
One person wrote: “This is why #represententationmatters. Billie has made it to the Oscars, Grammys, etc., but has never been surrounded by people that look like her,” while a second X user said she should ‘apologize immediately’.
“What a crazy thing to say. I don’t think she meant it how I took it BTW.” someone else typed.
Fans of the ‘Bad Guy’ hitmaker have also come out in droves to defend her comments, with one Reddit user claiming: “The first thing I thought of, was the fact she’s one of the few pop stars who doesn’t get tans.
« Most stars get tanned regularly so she must feel like the odd one out in LA.”
“She’s joking about being pasty and pale,” echoed someone else.
Another user had the final word: “Not everything is offensive. I would think most people in Ireland do have similar features as Billie – who is, in fact, white and pale.
“This seems like a tongue in cheek comment and nothing beyond that. Why are people twisting it to be something so offensive?”
When she was 16, Eilish confirmed her Scottish and Irish heritage in an interview with Hot Press.
“I can’t tan AT ALL. For years, nobody had ‘Eilish’ even in their vocabulary,” she explained.
“Literally, the other day somebody stopped me in the street to take a picture, and he said that his girlfriend’s first name was ‘Eilish’.
“I was like ‘Oh my God’. I’m excited to go to Ireland and not be the only one. I like being unique and everything, but I would also like to be somewhere people can pronounce my name correctly,” she said in the 2018 chat.
The two-time Academy Award winner is in the midst of her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour and is set to take up residence at Miami’s Kaseya Centre this October (9, 11 and 12).
On October 13, Eilish will head to the Ka Center in Orlando before taking over Raleigh for two nights (October 16 and 17).
The second North American leg of the Hit Me Hard and Soft tour will conclude with two shows at San Francisco’s Chase Centre on November 22 and 23.
UNILAD has contacted representatives of Billie Eilish for further comment.
