JD Vance slams ‘incestuous nature’ of ‘America’s elites’ but insists Trump is ‘outside’ that

JD Vance has slammed the ‘incestuous’ nature of ‘America’s elites’ following the latest batch of Epstein files to be released but insists that Donald Trump is not involved.

Just over 3 million files were released by the Department of Justice last week relating to their investigation into the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, including several emails from Bill Gates and Elon Musk, along with compromising photographs of Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

Yet, while it’s safe to say that President Trump, like a lot of the men in the files, has both ‘wealth and power’, the Vice President insisted that Trump himself is separate from that network.

Trump unleashes on reporter after being asked about Epstein survivors

Speaking to the Daily Mail on Tuesday, Feb. 3, Vance, 41, said: “President Trump is very much outside of the social circle.

“He knows a lot of these people. He certainly has similar wealth and power. But he never really was friendly with Epstein in a way that a lot of these other people were.”“I think that it just shows there’s an incestuous nature to America’s elites, and it’s pretty gross. And, a lot of people, I think, it reflects very poorly on them,” he added.

Donald Trump has sought to distance himself from allegations pertaining to the pedophile financier and has always strenuously denied any wrongdoing.

Initially, Trump downplayed his connection to Epstein, but did later admit they previously had a friendship, however, he claims this came to an end in 2004, long before Epstein was accused of – and convicted – of sex trafficking.

The President has, however, appeared in several photographs and hundreds of files released by the House Oversight Committee last December.

These include Trump pictured alongside a group of women with their faces blurred out, and another photo that shows the president’s face featured in cartoon form on a set of ‘Trump Condoms’ for sale.Following the release of those images, White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson slammed the Democrats for what she described as ‘cherry picking’ files with ‘random redactions to create a false narrative.’

« The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked and the Trump Administration has done more for Epstein’s victims than Democrats ever have by repeatedly calling for transparency, releasing thousands of pages of documents, and calling for further investigations into Epstein’s Democrat friends, » the spokesperson continued at the time. « It’s time for the media to stop regurgitating Democrat talking points and start asking Democrats why they wanted to hang around Epstein after he was convicted. »

Tweets about Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged ‘client list’ made by Vice President JD Vance during the Biden administration have come back to haunt him after Donald Trump’s Department of Justice and FBI announced no such list existed.

The revelation made earlier this week comes after Trump himself promised during his 2024 presidential campaign to release files related to Epstein, who died by suicide in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges.

A collection of files were released onto the Justice Department website in February, but there were still rumors circulating about a list of Epstein’s clients and exactly who might be on it.

Vance has previously made clear he believed more information about Epstein existed, evidenced by a tweet he shared during the Biden administration.

At the time, Vance appeared to imply that the Democrat-led government had some sort of personal link to the information, as he wrote: « What possible interest would the US government have in keeping Epstein’s clients secret? Oh… »In another tweet shared in September 2021, Vance wrote: « Remember when we learned that our wealthiest and most powerful people were connected to a guy who ran a literal child sex trafficking ring? And then that guy died mysteriously in a jail? And now we just don’t talk about it. »

Now, however, a two-page Department of Justice and FBI memo said that investigators found no ‘incriminating list’.

The announcement sparked backlash, but Vance now appears to have changed his tune by accepting this conclusion and defending the president’s handling of the case.

While speaking with podcaster Theo Von, Vance said: « Donald Trump didn’t do anything wrong with Jeffrey Epstein. »

« Whatever the Democrats and the media say about him, that’s totally BS. I’m the Vice President to President Trump, my loyalties are always going to be with the president. »As well all know, however, things on the internet rarely stay hidden, and it didn’t take long for social media users to dig out Vance’s old comments which appeared confident in the existence of Epstein’s client list.

Now, many internet users have been sharing Vance’s old tweets about why the government might keep the list secret and asking one question: what happened?

« Care to comment today JD?, » one person wrote, as another responded: « So? What happened bro? »

« Could you at least let us know what changed your mind?, » a third asked.

Though countless people are still left with questions surrounding the topic of Epstein, Trump has made clear that his administration is ready to move on.

The White House and the Department of Justice has denied sexual assault allegations against Donald Trump after they disappeared from the Epstein files.

More files relating to the convicted sex offender were released on Friday (January 30), which included photos of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, kneeling over a woman.

President Trump was also featured in the latest batch of files, with a series of unverified tips about the president that had been collated by the FBI in August 2025.

One claim stated the current POTUS forced a 13 or 14-year-old girl to perform oral sex on him decades ago – something which has been immediately shut down by the White House.

In a statement published alongside the DOJ on Friday, the White House said: « Some of the documents contain untrue and sensationalist claims against President Trump that were submitted to the FBI right before the 2020 election.“To be clear, the claims are unfounded and false, and if they have a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponized against President Trump already.”

The file had been temporarily removed from the DOJ website ‘due to overload’, but has since been restored, The Telegraph was told.

The claim was made by an ‘unidentified female friend’ of the alleged victim, with the complaint stating the teenager claimed she bit Trump during oral sex.

The unverified claim states the girl was ‘allegedly hit in the face after she laughed’ about it.

Following the release of the Epstein files, the White House said some of the documents ‘may include fake or falsely submitted images, documents or videos’ as the Trump administration released ‘everything that was sent to the FBI by the public’.

It’s worth noting just because an individual is named in the files, it doesn’t necessarily mean they are guilty of any wrongdoing.Friday’s release of the Epstein files ‘marks the end’ of the DOJ’s obligation to be transparent regarding the convicted sex offender, though the Democrats have claimed there are more files, documents and photos to be made public.

Democrat Robert Garcia said: « Donald Trump and his Department of Justice have now made it clear that they intend to withhold roughly 50% of the Epstein files, while claiming to have fully complied with the law. This is outrageous and incredibly concerning.

« The oversight committee subpoena directs Pam Bondi to release all the files to the committee, while protecting survivors. »

The politician continued: « We are demanding the names of Epstein’s co-conspirators and the men and pedophiles who abused women and girls. We will begin a thorough review of this latest limited production, but let’s be clear: our work and investigation are just getting started. »

Donald Trump has hinted that he may start legal proceedings against the estate of Jeffrey Epstein after the latest documents from the Epstein files were made public.

Trump has been named some 3,000 times in the files, including numerous allegations sexual abuse, though he has not been accused of any crime in relation to his association with Epstein. Previously, Trump has denied any knowledge of Epstein’s sex crimes, and said that his relationship with the convicted paedophile had soured.

In a statement shared when the files were made public, the US Justice Department reiterated Trump’s denial of these accusations.

« Some of the documents contain untrue and sensationalist claims against President Trump that were submitted to the FBI right before the 2020 election, » the statement said.

« To be clear, the claims are unfounded and false, and if they have a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponised against President Trump already. »But now, in a further statement, Trump has suggested that he has plans to sue Michael Wolff, as well as even thinking about whether he will also sue Epstein’s estate. He even alleged that they were ‘conspiring’ to ‘politically’ hurt him.

When Trump first reacted to the latest files as he was flying to Florida.

Speaking to reporters on Saturday, he said: « I didn’t see it myself but I was told by some very important people that not only does it absolve me, it’s the opposite of what people were hoping, you know, the radical left. »

In a more recent statement, he also added: “Wolff, who’s a third-rate writer, was conspiring with Jeffrey Epstein to hurt me politically or otherwise and that came through loud and clear.

“So we’ll probably sue Wolf on that … Maybe the Epstein estate, I guess. I don’t know. But we’ll certainly sue Wolff.”The latest batch of files consisted of some 3.5 million documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, which the Department of Justice released on January 30. This was carried out according to the Epstein Files Transparency Act passed in 2025 which ordered the files to be made public.

Many high profile figures were named in the files, though simply being named is not an indication of wrongdoing. Elon Musk has responded to his being named, as well as Bill Gates, who slammed claims against him as ‘absolutely absurd’ and ‘completely false’.

Addressing the files, Congressman Robert Garcia said: « We are demanding the names of Epstein’s co-conspirators and the men and pedophiles who abused women and girls.

« We will begin a thorough review of this latest limited production, but let’s be clear: our work and investigation are just getting started. »

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche has revealed why there have not been any charges brought following the release of more documents from the Epstein files.

As January came to a close, the US Department of Justice (DOJ) dropped lots more information connected to Jeffrey Epstein and his nefarious actions before his 2019 death.

The DOJ released around 3.5 million files that included over 2,000 videos and 180,000 images. It ultimately left the public with many questions.

One of the most pertinent is: why haven’t there been any charges or arrests of the people pictured or named in the Epstein files?

Speaking in an interview on February 1 on CNN’s State of the Union, the Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche addressed this.

He said that the DOJ is not considering bringing any additional charges related to Epstein, despite the releases over recent months. He said: “I can’t talk about any investigations, but I will say the following, which is that in July, the Department of Justice said that we had reviewed the files, the Epstein files, and there was nothing in there that allowed us to prosecute anybody.

“The entire world can look at and see if we got it wrong.”

Blanche did admit that the materials released do contain disturbing material, such as photographs, emails and correspondence, but emphasized that this did not meet the threshold for prosecution.

Blanche added: “There’s a lot of horrible photographs that appear to be taken by Mr. Epstein or people around him, but that doesn’t allow us necessarily to prosecute somebody.”

Being mentioned or photographed in the Epstein files is not enough to suggest wrongdoing.

Blanche also called on people to temper their focus on Donald Trump and said that, though he is mentioned more than 1,000 times in the documents, many of the allegations involving Trump came from anonymous tips or unverifiable sources. He added: “It turns out, there was a number of claims made by either … anonymous people or somebody, for example, calling and saying, ‘I used to have a roommate who told me this sensational story.’

« So just, you know, obviously that’s not something that can be really investigated, right? ‘What’s your roommate’s name? I don’t remember,’ So that’s what that’s about.”

Trump has previously denied any knowledge of Epstein’s sex crimes and claimed that his relationship with Epstein had soured.

In a statement shared when the files were made public, the US Justice Department reiterated Trump’s denial of these accusations.

The statement said: “Some of the documents contain untrue and sensationalist claims against President Trump that were submitted to the FBI right before the 2020 election. »
