
Then he turned toward the twenty riders behind him.
“This is him,” he said.
Every biker looked at Caleb.
Caleb’s shoulders tightened. He had spent three days wondering whether helping Bear had been the biggest mistake of his life. Troy had destroyed his bicycle. His face was still bruised. His mother had started worrying about why he was coming home late. And now a group of Hells Angels had surrounded him on an empty industrial road.
He expected anger. Maybe suspicion. Maybe a demand he couldn’t refuse.
Instead, Bear stepped closer and held out his hand.
“Thank you.”
