I went to the airport to see my friend off—and instead watched my husband cradle another woman as if she were the center of his world. I froze, unable to move, while he murmured into her hair. She gave a soft laugh and said, “Everything’s set. She’s going to lose it all.”
I went to the airport and froze, spotting my husband embracing another woman, whispering into her hair. I overheard her laugh about ruining me. I smiled calmly, knowing the power was already mine all along.
