66-year-old Larisa went to the doctor when the pain became unbearable. At first, she thought it was just her stomach acting up, her age, her nerves, ordinary bloating. She even laughed, saying she probably ate too much bread and that’s why her belly felt so swollen. But the tests the therapist ran changed everything.
“Ma’am…” — the doctor looked at the results again. “This may sound strange, but the tests indicate pregnancy.”
“What? I’m sixty-six!”
“Miracles do happen. But you should see a gynecologist.”
She walked out of the office in complete shock, but deep inside… she believed it. She already had three children, and when her belly began to grow, she convinced herself that her body was giving her a “late miracle.” She felt heaviness, sometimes even something that felt like movement — and that only strengthened her belief.
She didn’t go to the gynecologist. She told herself: “Why? I’m a mother of three children, I know everything. When the time comes — I’ll go give birth.”
Month after month, her belly grew larger. The neighbors were stunned, and she smiled, saying “God decided to give her a miracle.” She knitted tiny socks, chose baby names, and even bought a small crib.
