“Also normal.”
“The shaking?”
“Normal.”
“If the wing falls off, will that be normal too?”
“At that point, I will admit something unusual has happened.”
The woman beside me laughed. Mom did too, though she held my hand until the plane leveled out.
Millersburg
For the next hour, we spoke quietly. Mom asked me to point out the towns below us. I told her I had no idea what we were looking at, so she invented names.
“That’s Millersburg,” she said.
“How can you tell?”
“It looks like a Millersburg.”
