What he saw changed the entire reason he stayed at my door.
“Can I have ice cream?”
I glanced over my shoulder. Tyler stood with the freezer door wide open, cold air curling around his bare feet while I stirred spaghetti sauce on the stove.
“No. Close the freezer.”
“But there’s chocolate. And vanilla.”
“I’m familiar with our inventory, Tyler.”
He looked at me like I’d personally betrayed both flavors. “After dinner,” I said.
“I don’t want spaghetti.”
