For a second, I honestly thought I’d heard him wrong.
« You mean you want to betray me? »
« I want an open marriage. »
He smiled like I was a child struggling with math.
« You bore me, Taylor, » he said. « I want to feel like a man again. Like a hunter. I want to date the women I choose. It’ll bring our marriage back to life. »
I stared at him.
Then I looked down at Saturn in my lap: ten years of marriage, two sons, and every ordinary thing that had somehow become our life.
« I want to feel like a man again. »
Apparently, I was the boring part of it.
« What about my needs? » I asked.
