My husband said he had a business trip, so I dropped him at the airport with our son. Minutes later, he got into a taxi instead of boarding a flight. I followed—and what I saw shattered everything.

At noon, I texted Jason: Flight okay?

He replied instantly:
Just landed. Exhausted. Love you.

The rage came in cold, measured waves.

I spent the rest of the weekend pretending everything was normal—because I didn’t know what else to do. I wanted answers, but I wanted to be smart. I owed it to Mason not to explode before I understood the full truth.
