Only then did the woman finally speak, her tone calm, even, almost unremarkable.

“You rotated them too fast this week,” she said, as if commenting on weather. “Three high-intensity drills back-to-back without recalibrating recovery cycles. They’re overstimulated, not disobedient.”

No one understood how she could possibly know that.

When a trainer challenged her, insisting she step away, she ignored him, kneeling beside one of the Malinois, checking its gums, running practiced fingers along its flank, her touch confident but gentle.

“He’s compensating for a micro-tear in the right shoulder,” she added quietly. “You’ll rupture it if you push him again today.”
